The study of a cohort of 22,434 men and 38,469 women from Church members across North America between 2002 and 2006 used a range of questionnaire and physical measures to track diet, BMI and diabetes. The results can be tabulated as follows:

In short the risk of diabetes increases with meat consumption.
Comment: Eat your veggies. Be cautious with animal product. If you do enjoy meat you will need to pay more attention to exercise, relaxation, sleep and glycaemic index.
